All my layers tend to use the same tilesize. I guess I'd use a different tilesize for specific features on the map, e.g. trees, bushes, whatever. And I can see it in background maps I guess? This hasn't come up for me obviously. ( = I've seen the feature in other map editors where the tilesize is fixed on map creation, just wondering about the pros and cons.

Are other people using different tilesizes in Impact maps?

I use many different sizes without any problems.

It helps if you want the game to feel less boxy and more organic because things don't always end up matching perfectly.

I used smaller tile size for the collison and the doodad layer. It works fine.

@dungeonmaster: Can you link a layer to collision if they are different sizes? Does that work?

Can't say I've used different tile-sizes for different layers...
