I downloaded a tile set PNG from Google images to quickly see how tile painting works. Only problem is I can't see my original image I selected as my tileset to pick a tile from like I saw in Dominic's Weltmesiter video. The PNG is 3MB is that too large for the editor to handle?

Did you click Apply Settings at the bottom of the sidebar?

3MB is a bit hefty but probably more of an issue is that that 3MB image is also going to be physically too big to work with in the editor anyway. Break it down into a smaller image.

@Amadeus Why would I need to hit apply settings? I've already selected my tileset from the input field I just want to paint with it to design my level.

@Arantor agree with you just wanted to see if I could take a tileset for a city map like GTA and see if Weltmeister could handle it for background tiles.

Consider what you're expecting of it. This is 3MB over the browser, and it won't be cached anywhere.

I solved this problem by going back to an old room map I designed in 10x10 pixel grid. Works a charm but tile size has to be the same as the grid unit size because the tile selection cursor starts to overlap.

@bitmapshades you have to hit Apply Settings for it to load the image for painting. This allows you to tweak the settings for the layer and not wreck havoc on your layer
