Hi, based on a post by a new member here

I thought we might want to share on where we are currently based. This might lead to future collaborations in game development!
Where in the world are you based?

I'm in San Francisco, CA.
I'm in Montreal. I work in the same building as UbiSoft's Campus, where you can take classes on making games. But modern gaming is exclusively 3D, and while I do a lot of 3D modelling, making games in 3D is just too complicated to do on your own and is not as much fun.
EDIT: a 3D game is not something I'd want to do as a single developer. What's cool about the iPad and HTML5 is that for a limited time that window has reopened where one guy can make a whole game, because 2D simple games are back in fashion. It won't probably last, but it's fun right now, and nostalgic cause did this the first time around back around 1989.
@stahlmanDesign - is it even possible to build an okay 3d game as a single developer these days? Must be really hard dealing with 3D.

Since there are a fair number of Germans and Brits represented in Impact, I feel the need to post this
interesting bit about manners in the two cultures from the BBC that I found via Hacker News.
(Disclaimer: No flame war intended to be sparked by this Yank ;)
haha saw that article yesterday. i'm going to go with 'sugarcoating', but just enough to lubricate good conversation.
