Hello fellow devs. My name is Justin and I have been doing web development for close to 12 years now. I have about five years of PHP and two years of ruby (rails) experience. I have been wanting to jump into node and, when I get the chance, I might.

I started out my interest in game development when I was still in my teens. I purchased a C++ game dev bundle that took you through the process of developing a game with the language and direct x 7.0. Never got through it and didn&039;t get super far with C++ (Got as UI stuff... but it was a long time ago). I tried my hand at C and XNA when I got a bit older but then web development took over yet again to pay the bills.

Worked for a company for about 3 years doing PHP development when I decided to move up north (USA) and do freelance/contract work on my own. This is when I shifted to Ruby on Rails (Ruby language Framework). Been doing it for about two years and now deciding I want to try my hand at developing small games again.

Just wanted to introduce myself and get to know all of you :)

BTW you can follow me on the following social networks as I attempt to learn the ImpactJS Game Framework and develop my first game. I know it will take a lot of work and don't expect to breeze through it. I know how hard software development can be and game development is definitely no exception :)
