Anyone knows where can I get special effect sprite sheets or special effects generators for games??

What sort of effects are you looking for ?

Special effects like powers, hadoukens, explosions, kamehamehas, hits, lighting, smoke, fire, etc...

It isn't free, but TheGameCreators sell an animated sprite sheet with many special effects for $20. I don't think it is that bad of a deal for everything it comes with. But decent alternatives could probably be collected online for free.

Ty, those sprites on TGC are not very good, I would like some more quality ones like those in snk, capcom games.
Usually those free on the internet are ripped from games and I cannot use them without violating copyright =/

So any more ideas on how to get or make 2d visual effects for games???
