We did this game using Intel HTML5 tools (previously appMobi) and impact js. It's currently in the iOS and Windows 8 stores and we're anxious to deploy it in more places like Google Play / Android.
There is a gameplay video on the website.

Very sweet trailer man!
Fun game. You guys did a great job on the UI and creating fun gameplay. I'll leave more feedback after I play it a little more.
A couple of quick questions:
* Why not use gamecenter of trying to get someone to register with username/password/email. I, like many users, hate registering for another product.
* Why did you make the comics so small on iphone? they are super well drawn, but my eyes can hardly read what the people are saying. I look like a crazy person with my phone up close to my face.
Hey thanks Corey! Really appreciate the feedback.

This is a great question, it's something that we really struggled with. One was having to make calls outside of our engine and the work necessary to do so on each device/platform for which we release Violent Science. We were already strapped for staff, esp. the developers. PlayMobi was native to the SDK we were using so very easy to integrate. In the end however, it's safe to say the MAIN reason for playMobi rather than game center was for cross-device/platform leaderboards. We hope to have the Android ver out soon and it would be nice if players could compete cross-platform. As for the cloud game saves, iCloud would be nice, but again, not cross platform. If someone has an iPhone and a Windows 8 machine or in the future a facebook acct to play the game on, we'd like them to be able to pick up where they left off. We'd like to perhaps use a little of both. Game Center is fun, esp for badges and social sharing on iOS.

This one goes back to our learning curve on dynamically creating downloads of all the in-game data for users. We're there finally after the addition of our free comic book day DLC, so I imagine a rebuild that can pick and choose what people are downloading on their device based on the device type would be in order. We specifically used the iPad as the initial test device so a lot of things were based off of that. We definitely have every intention of re-optimizing that particular part of the game as well as using what we've learned in future releases, impact js or not.
Thanks again so much for the feedback. We're listening.. and appreciate it!
