Hi guys,

Participated in Ludum Dare 23 this weekend and created this little game: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&uid=5486
It's called Tiny Monk and it can best be described as a mix between Terraria and Space Invaders maybe?

This is the first Ludum Dare i finish (second participating) and I must say 48 hours just isn't enough or an action oriented title like this with resources and world building :) Balancing is tough on tight time restrictions, and here I also had to come up with cool building blocks. In the end I underutilized the fact that the player could have had more options during upgrading / world building, and I wish I could have spent more time on enemy AI too.

It was a cool experience though, and it would be fun to spend some more hours on this thing and make it really shine. Votes are appreciated :)

your source files include the Impact engine sources, weltmeister excepted.

PS: congratulations on finishing a game for LD, something I have yet to do.

Pretty good game. There's one weird bug that I can't reproduce, but sometimes when pressing A and space, the entire canvas is scaled up and the shooting only shoot down and to the right.

I like your mechanic. The enemy waves appear a bit too close to the player for my taste.
Perhaps the enemies could spawn a bit further away from the player and the enemy bullets could be a bit brighter color?

Anyway very nice entry to LD, which I also did with Impact :)
