When planning to start scuba the first and only fear was sea creatures, especially sharks. I asked my instructor about the same and he laughed it off. Later on he explained everything and I understood the greatest fear is nothing but us. To avert any danger we need to plan the dives and follow the rules. To any sea creature a diver appears like an big ugly creature exhaling bubbles. Having said that if you go near its comfort levels any creature might turn aggressive out of defense.
