Hallow guys, its been awhile since i have been on these forums, due to school work, and the website for our upcoming Tower Defense game.
Lately i have been thinking of, adding onscreen multiplayer to the game, so you can see your opponent on the upper screen, meanwhile you play. However i am not entirely sure how i should approach this, and would be happy to hear from other, who have been working on such thing.
For one thing, i would love some kind of game backend server, maybe some php, which handles most of the game rules, like player hp and such, but how can i do this?
Also, there elements in the game, which uses framecounting, but what if the framerates drop for one player, and not for the other, will it still be in sync? I suspect, that the defined framerate in main.js handles this, am i correct?
I have been looking at nodejs, could this be the right solution for me?
Thank you.
