What do you recommend? I read the o'reilly book and downloaded XAMPP. But it's my first time with this and i have no clue what to do with it. Can somebody provide me with step by step instructions on how to set it up for impact to run? (I use Windows 7) I would very much appreciate your help.

The main thing you need to do is modify the httpd.conf file so that ServerRoot/DocumentRoot point to your root game folder.

And if you don't install XAMPP as a service, just launch it before you open your game or level editor.

i've found the easiest way to get up and coding is to run this little do-hickey.

quite literally as easy as typing "python server.py" in a terminal and hitting your browser at localhost:8000
