Hi,

I am making a game with a ship sailing around in an ocean. I am trying to find out a good way of making water that looks good.

I heard that a common way is to have two background layers with sligthly different color,transparancy and texture and then scroll them in two different angles.

Is there a way to scroll the backround layers, even when the player is not moving? I havent figured it out yet.

I'm actually needing the same kind of thing, a background pattern where I can manually set the pattern offset, but stays in a fixed location.

Did you find a solution for this? If not, does anyone else have a suggestion?
