does the weltmeister editor have to live on the root of your apache install?
i tried keeping the demo apps in separate directories, like:

http://localhost/~dc/impact/physics/weltmeister.html

but this gives error:
Error: Couldn't write to file: ../../../lib/game/levels/test.js

is there a variable to change somewhere to set weltmeister path stuff?

solved - permissions problem in case anyone else has the same thing make sure your levels dir is write enabled.
