Searching the forums does not allow one to search for users. This is a problem as I need to find all the posts written by a specific person, including those that lie beyond the range retrieved by clicking on a post author's name.

Dominic, do you have one of those fancy tricks up your sleeve that I can use, pending a fix?

(reason I'm asking is because I need to contact someone here who contacted me weeks ago, and contacted me again this morning, but whose email bounces, for some odd reason; I'm not 100% sure that the id of the person I have in mind is the id of that actual person, hence would like to search forums for posts by that id to see if he was indeed the one whose post I had answered on private channels <gasp>).

I got lucky with my search and found the user. But I'm sticking to my request. It would be useful. :)

If you click on their name or go to http://impactjs.com/forums/user/username you can get a list of their recent posts. Doesn't fully fulfill the feature request but its a handy tip to know.

That's what I meant by the entries that lie beyond the range retrieved by clicking on a post author's name, i.e, the beyond recent.

My bad.. somehow didn't quite read that. ;)
