Hi, I'm new here. I just wanted to say I love Z-Type typing practice game. It's really a fun way to practice typing skills while having some fun. My only problem is I want to know how I can play the game offline? Is there a way to download/save the game to my computer so I don't have to be connected to the internet to play it?

I want to use it on my netbook while I travel around and I won't have wifi or access to the net all the time. Just wondering if this this is possible or not, thanks.

i can't speak for dom's z-type game, but yeah it's possible to run ImpactJS games locally. but u need a local server running on your computer.

Using a local server: It's how we make/test/iterate on the games anyways.

Thanks for the reply but sorry I don't fully understand your answer. Can't I play this game like a stand-alone game where no connection to the net is required? In layman's term, can I just download this program and run it on my computer?

nope you can't just 'download' an ImpactJS game and play it like an executable file.

maybe someone should make a plugin that does just that! (good idea btw)

I've made a frame for this work on OS X, but I wouldn't know where to begin doing this for Windows I'm afraid.

So in other words, I can only use this typing game/program if I have internet access?
Oh what a bummer :(
