Hi,

I represent Eerie Studios (subsidiary of Didstopia), an indie game development studio.

We've been developing an easy to use solution for HTML5 game developers to get their games multiplayer ready and we've come up with a solution that uses NodeJS and Socket.IO and is compatible with virtually any engine (or plain HTML).
Our latest game, Tactile, is the first game to use our new Multiplayer Kit, even though it's a simple game of tic tac toe.

For more information about the kit, have a read here: http://eerie-studios.com/html5kit

Pre-orders have been enabled as the engine itself is quite finished, but we're still working on writing detailed guides, instructions and examples that are included with the kit.
Our aim is to create a simple, affordable and reusable solution to enable every developer out there to make multiplayer games.

In addition to the engine, we've also incorporated real-time analytics, so it's easy to see how your game's doing.
For a demo of this, see here: http://tactile.eerie-studios.com

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!

I'd like more information on the performance. Sadly the tic-tac-toe demo isn't all that impressive as it doesn't really demonstrate the realtime abilities.

How does this differ than one of the many free node.js plugins already available?
How many connections can it theoretically support?
Are you doing anything for lag compensation or a way to keep everyone in sync?
Is it an authoritative server?

this site doesn't seem to be up?

Site works fine for me but as graphikos says a turn based game such as tic-tac-toe doesn't showcase real-time multi-player aspects.

Can we see say the jump n run demo that ships with Impact as a multi-player game.

That would be interesting.

Any update on this? I know its cheap currently at $10 but you don't mention much about the actual kit unless you buy it. I'm sure you will convert more prospects if you at least make stuff like the docs accessible before people buy so they can see what it can do?

Cheers

$10 isn't cheap if it offers nothing more than the free, open source node plugins already available.

True, bit more info here I found http://www.html5gamedevs.com/topic/303-announcing-html5-multiplayer-kit/

O well for $10 I pre-ordered will let you know when I get something.

Just an update, I pre-ordered 3 months ago and this still has yet to see the light of day.

You would think a company would start pre-orders when close to release.

Not impressed.

I guess this becomes a vaporware now.... I was a bit interested in this library but seeing no updates to this I will have to look again... Too bad though...
