I generally use my Mac for coding and asset creation on a Windows PC. Upto now I couldn't find a good way to sync them with eachother and also with dropbox.

This is it, a most beatiful solution:

No more manual copy-paste from arbitrary folders of Mac to Dropbox to PC and etc..

Even if you don't have 2 or more devices, still very helpful to keep a dropbox directory synced with XAMMP without having to install XAMMP into dropbox directory or creating the dropbox directory directly in htdocs.

Are you using version control, like git? That'll help you sync code/assets between two computers (any two computers!) without syncing all your Dropbox, etc. I know the learning curve is a little steep at the beginning but it pays off big at the end. There's lots of free books about git.

At the risk of tooting my own horn, you should try using something like the impact-dev-server instead of XAMMP: it's lighter weight, easier to set up, and doesn't come with all the extra baggage that XAMMP imposes on you (MySql, PHP, etc).
