I stress: I barely know what I'm doing, and the code is horrendous. And things are not working properly, but I want it to be a testament to IMPACT that even a fool like me can get something going with enough patience and trial and error. Hopefully the 'error' part lessens as time goes on. :)

Im posting, not only to help anyone, but to get help in case anyone can see / help me accomplish something better...

any thoughts on further developing the game?

Been working on the art mostly - character sketches and planning levels, etc. I am working on trying to properly figure out sound issues, etc though since pretty much anything I spend my time on will focus largely around the music & sfx. Been having lots of troubles with the built in sound manager, so I'm looking at that Sound Manager 2 you recommended but I cant quite figure out how to get it properly implemented... at least as easily as the built in impact one.

80 bit if your still interrested i got quite a few zelda sprites + picked up your work and played with it for a bit far away from GOOD .. but still moving viewpoint + some other sprites ;)

Dude this is awesome, interested in sharing the coding? I will be coming back to this model for my next game - just been working on a sidescroller to learn the ropes but I really think im going to go for the zelda style for my next game, so this will help!

Nice, the legend of zelda in a browser…OOT is the best game of all time (though I wasted the other half of my childhood on a link to the past)

Look, seems at least 3 of us are writing code for doing something very similar: a top-down RPG. I don’t know who else is doing the same with the impact engine but maybe we should work together a bit. Try to find solutions to everything that might be plaguing us with 3 heads is easier than alone.
