I build this game a while ago for Ludum Dare 26. (Not the recent Ludum Dare 27)

It's basically a massively simplified RTS. You have 6 planets, your opponent has 6 planets. Use your battleships to destroy his planets, and your fighters to destroy his battleships. Try to not let him do the same to you.

I tried to reduce micromanagement by automatically choosing the best unit for the job. So if you click an enemy unit/planet, your closest available unit gets the job.
The UI doesn't exactly do a good job of explaining that mechanic, though.
Also, the difficulty goes through the roof at times.

Anyway, I think it's pretty solid for a weekend job :)
