Hi,
I want to show you the game I am currently working on: The Wizard Who Stumbled. The is an enhanced version of my Ludum Dare 22 game from December ( link). I started making the game with FlashPunk and continued working on it after the contest. But I wasn't happy with Flash and switched to XNA first and then two weeks ago to HTML5 with Impact.
I pixeld most of the graphics in Pro Motion. The sounds have been recorded with an iPod touch and edited with GoldWave. And I created the music with Renoise.
The Wizard Who Stumbled is a "2d top down fantasy shooter". You are an old wizard, who has to kill the zombies you created, when you stumbled and accidently killed everyone.
You get points for killing zombies and later there will be an online highscore list. Currently there are two levels for testing. You can play the Beta version here:
Play The Wizard Who Stumbled (Beta)
Controls: Move with arrow keys, accept / cast spell with spacebar.
The game should work with Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer (no sound). You can also play on your iPad.

Played it through. It got a little boring attacking the same type of enemy. In the end I was more interested in walking around them rather than attacking. Movement, especially on the first level, was a bit frustrating. I kept getting stuck on tiles that visually didn't look blocking. Perhaps something like this would help:

Thank you for testing and the link, I will try to improve the movement.

What prevents it from working in Safari, especially if it works on the iPad?

In Safari (Windows) I am getting the folloing error when the game starts:
TypeError: 'undefined' is not a constructor (evaluating 'new Audio()') sound.js:13
This also happens when I start the Biolab game (http://playbiolab.com/), therefore I haven't looked into it.

Hey, there is a new version with lots of improvements online:
The Wizard Who Stumbled (Beta) (v0.5.0.b1 2012-10-11)
- The game is now more an "adventure" game with an open world, rather then a "highscore" game with separated levels.
- You can explore the first island in this beta.
- The player can move diagonally and "strafe".
- It is much easier to enter small areas, you shouldn't get stuck any more.
- New sounds, music and graphics.
- You can now pick up health potions and use them later.
- To use a spell you now need a scroll.
- You can find a sword.
- There are new Dungeons you can enter through teleporters or doors, for some you need a key.
- Added traps, on the first island are a few arrow traps.
- You can find armors to increase you lifepoints.
- Items dropped by zombies do not disappear when entereing a new map.
- The world has a size of 5x5 maps, each map is 4 screens big. The first island is 1 map.
- The game uses an object-pool for all particles and spells. This reduces a lot of the lags and problems in Firefox. It now also works in Safari.
Controls:
- WASD to move. To strafe just hold a second key.
- Space to attack
- ESC to pause and your character info
- H to drink a health potion
- 1: Fireball, 2: Bomb, 3: Run, 4: Shield, 5: Sword
I know the game is way to diffucult at the moment, and there are too few hints/infos what to do. I'm working on it.
Have fun, all feedback is much appreciated :)
BTW the game code is on GitHub.
