I've been working on getting a tile sheet together and have been using inkscape with some success. I've turned on grid mode (view -> grid) and modified the major grid lines to match my tile size (16).

However, I'm noticing that while my graphics line up within inkscape a couple of the tiles seem to be bleeding over by 1 to 2 pixels (it's not consistent on which ones do it). I can't quite seem to figure out if there is a certain amount of padding required. Anyone have similar issues while creating tiles for use with the Weltmeister tool?

Well, the thing is, Inkscape is implicitly not a tool designed for working with pixels, which means when the tiles are converted to pixels, it's entirely possible that they end up bleeding over, and generally using a bitmap image editor will be preferable (GIMP works well enough, though a few people I know are currently using Pixen on the Mac as a dedicated pixel-editor, and Pixelmator has pixel-specific tools too. I'm not sure about similar tools for Windows or Linux though.)

Also, there should be no padding between tiles, if you set a size of 16 pixels, each tile should be the full 16x16 pixels.
