Can I request any of you available to create a dominoes game for my social network.
Also if you could give me an estimated cost, that would be great.

One hundred billion dollars. ;)
Hi Clive, have you got a URL for your website and perhaps some examples of existing games on the site? This might give us a better idea of the "polish" you are expecting.
on a more serious note, we'd love to hear the idea.
We also need to know the size of the project. ( I.e does it also involve APIs, virtual goods, ads ).
I would say, from the top of my head, that if a simple dominoes game with virtual goods, friend invites, sharing, etc is to be launched on facebook with a 1-2 man dev team full time, you would need around $10,000 for 1 month's work. Try comparing prices at Elance.

I do agree with fugufish although I wouldn't charge as much $10k seems like a steep bill to pay. I personally charge between £30-50 per hour depending on the project.
at £40 pounds/hr, and 10 hrs/day, that's £400/day.
Assuming 20 working days, that's £8000/month > $10,000

Yes but come on - dominoes game? That wouldn't take a month full-time development now would it? You could knack a dominoes game in a week or so.
Granted when you start to think about stuff like API, Payments or multiplayer using node.js etc. then you blowing the project up to enormous proportions and $10k wouldn't be enough to cover the research phase.
With everything he was including in his ball-park quote ("virtual goods, friend invites, sharing, etc is to be launched on facebook") $10k probably not too far out of reason. The timeline might even be fairly aggressive.
I always feel I undercharge for things sometimes. But I always win my bids! Better to be working than not.. right?
Bottom line, the project needs more detailed before a real quote could be determined.

Guys,
Thanks for your inputs. The game is for a Cuban community that has a lot of the community elements already built in. The URL is:
http://www.lacubanada.com
The idea is to have a landing page showing the number of tables (empty, and playing), then a user could join a table or enter an ongoing game for watching.
Finally the should have the option of updating the main community wall with important events from the games.
That's all

Are these meant to be multiplayer? Ummm... One hundred billion dollars seems like a reasonable price for the amount of work that would be required to deliver it. Jokes aside - this is a very expensive project my friend - what's your budget.

The budget limit is around 5,000 dollars. Players can be from 2 to 4 per table, there should be posible to play against the computer.
Best,
Clive

Or can you point me out how to do it ?
