Noticing some performance level editor rending issues when making/saving maps with pixel dimensions in the 6,000 - 10,000 range. The maps, once saved, seem to play just fine.

Is this a known issue? Is there a guideline for how big a map should be no bigger than?

The performance (in the editor as well as in the game) should be fairly independent of the map size. There's no hard limit for the size.

I think the problem is just the larger screen of the editor, compared to your game. If you resize your browser window, is the editor still as slow? Which browser are you using?

I'm in Chrome. Not resizing the browser window too much. Sometimes, but not as a part of the workflow. It's not so much that the editor is slow - but sometimes, with a tile size of 8, and an area of 750 x 1200 - it just won't save.

I've tweaked to 750 x 750 - and haven't hit a "no save" yet this morning.

And yeah - once it saves it seems to render fine. We'll see once it's got entities all over :)
