Hi, i have read some forums about impact being tile-based vs solid background mapping. I am trying to use solid based background but could not solve this problem in impact. My question is: is there any way around to solve this problem?
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I haven't tried this, but it seems like one possibility is to create an entity which contains your solid background. It would have 0 velocity, no collisions, etc. It would need to be the first entity created on the level. It would be the same size as the canvas, provided the viewpoint does not move in the level.
