Hello everyone, i reading "introducing html5 game developer" and the first step is clone the framework files and rename to residentraver. Supposedly when see it from the localhost, show the message: "it work!", but in my case only show a small black square.

how can do it?

It sounds like you just double clicked the index.html file, instead of setting up a webserver and navigating to http://localhost/

If you did load it through a webserver, is there an error message shown in your browsers console?

Also check the getting started guide for more info.

In my experience you don't need to go through localhost to play the game, you only need it for Weltmeister because of PHP and saving files.

Sometimes you need to check your permissions when setting up a new folder or copying it. Often it becomes read-only.

If you are using OS X Lion, and Right click and copy the impact folder, the OS will create an allies of the file, which will screw you when you try to navigate to it in the browser. To check if the file is an alias, right click it and click get info. If it is of type file folder, than this is not your problem. If it is of type alias, delete it, go to the original impact folder, right click, duplicate, move to desired directory (usually htdocs of your local host), and then navigate to it in your browser.
Hope it helps,
