I'm using the weltmeister level editor to make my levels and looking for a way to highlight specific background tiles or swap them out for a separate tile.

So for example, I want to be able to click an entity then after I'll highlight the tiles he can take an action on.

I haven't been able to find anything about this in the forums. Thanks

I would make a new layer with a tile sheet that was just a red square. then when it is loaded the blank tiles will be 0 and the red ones will be 1 and you now have a matrix of tiles that you can do whatever with. You could then set a property on your entity like "mapLayer" "entity1_maplayer" and use that to assign the layer to a specific entity.
