Not sure where this belongs so I thought I would put it here in the engine section.
I am not new to javascript but I am also not super advanced with it or programming in general. I was a web design major in college (think front-end really as it was not just design. more like half and half). I work mostly on the front end of the web with html, css, jquery, some php, etc and do not do anything super complicated or fancy. I muddled through setting up controls and behaviors for a beat em up game scene in college once (using flash back in 2.0 days) but I mostly have no real practical experience with game programming with javasctipt.
I do happen to own the oreilly book for impact and was wondering if between that any any tutorials i could find online, if I, a beginner in many ways, would be able to actually build a game with impact? Or, should I move on over and try something like construct2 which would hold my hand more, so to speak.
