Hi there,

i made an oldschool Point 'n Click Adventure a while ago. The game is using a classic verb based UI, made prominent by LucasArts (Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Zak McKracken ) with the awesome SCUMM engine. Because this was my first attempt on pixelart the whole thing looks more like one of the early sierra games (King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry).

This was a birthday present for a friend of mine, and it's full of many insider jokes, because of that the whole game is unfortunately in German.

If somebody is interested in the source code i can upload the whole thing to GitHub.

Cheers,
Patrick

Thanks man :D

The UI works exact like in Maniac Mansion and other SCUMM games. Just with fewer verbs.

@Jackolantern

Haha - glad to hear that you like this stuff :D

I uploaded the code + assets to GitHub:

Feel free to reuse some parts for your own project. But beware, this was my first Impact++ game. I misused some classes, and some of the code is far too complicated. In ++ there are already existing methods and classes for stuff I did.

The good news is that most of the code is commented with JSDoc + explanations. By the way, the core of the gameplay is the command-execution.js.

Awesome! Thanks for this, as I have some point'n'click ideas I would like to work on in the future and this is a great starting place. :)

Started playing thru with my moderate German. First impressions:

* Very nice, really reminded me of Larry et. al.
* I liked the puzzles.
* Finished the game and sent him to the Gym :)
* Dialog speed is too fast, I couldn't read some of them, so I had to repeat some actions.
* A man whose biggest problem is going to the gym in time. 'Typisch Deutsch' :)
