Hey guys, just wanted to show off what I'm working on. I don't have much in the way of actual gameplay at the moment, just movement behaviors and basic map generation, but I'd like to get some feedback on the movement. I'm quite fond of it how it is currently, but of course I'm biased.

WASD or Arrows, space to jump.

You'll notice if you collide with a wall while in the air, you'll cling and slide at a reduced speed. While in this sliding state, you can vault off the wall. Try chain vaulting to get up tall areas that have no ladder (I especially want THIS to feel good as I intend to make it a semi important part of the game.)

Double jump is enabled.

If you're running at max speed, you jump a bit higher.

PS. At the moment, once you die, you're done, so you have to refresh. Also, there's a small possibility you'll spawn in a location that doesn't have an exit: refresh!

Well it seems you've sorted out the basics. One remark, ladder climbing feels like swimming up the ladder. Maybe zero acceleration and just a constant speed will help there.

btw. I couldn't manage to die ;)
