Great Start! I love the skidmarks that appear over time, I think they could be a bit darker. I'd be interested in how you did that, if you'd be willing to share a bit. Also, the screen transition once you select a track, pretty cool! How'd you do that? The car movement feels great! Things I missed immediately that would add immensely to player feedback:

-Sound effects, especially tire screeches going around corners
-other sound effects, -collision with cones/tires, collision with other cars, etc.
-some sort of ready-set-go! to start things off

I realize it's WIP so I won't fill a ton more space commenting on polish stuff, but the AI players are really tough! They all drive the track PERFECTLY, all the time. Would be good to vary that a bit maybe?

bug: The music appears to be the only sound in so far, and it tended to randomly start/stop once I'd driven a few laps. I'm on a late 2008 macbook pro, latest Chrome.

Would love to see the track editor and local multiplayer; I didn't see how to access those if they're already in.

thanks for the feedback.
I'll definitely will be adding sound effects!
and the "ready-set-go" start is on the todo list as well.

The track editor will be online soon, and then we can race
each others tracks ;)

And btw, the game will be open source and released on github.

I have updated the demo at
Including different game modes, new sound effects and more.

Use DOWN arrow to change game mode and UP arrow to change laps.
Press ESC to return back to track selection.

I'll hope to hear some feedback and let me know if you find any bugs!

Next update will include track editor and new online game mode.

Great work enpu!

Only thing I notice is when you let off the accelerator it scrubs off the speed a little too quickly. Other than that great!

O and top marks for open source, I'm a total noob with Impact so anything where I can see how its done is going to be a big help. Ive done a couple of games (obj+cocos2d and corona) but I'm a javascript/impact newbie.
