Hi dominic, no doubt you are busy (as are we all) but adding search functionality to impactjs.com/docs might help reduce the number of questions (by me and possibly others) on this forum, hence giving you more time for other things.

Right now, I was looking for anything in the docs pertaining to plugins (caveats, hints, etc) prior to writing my own, wishing there were.

Cheers
A.

Yes, you&039;re right, we need that search function. I'll get to this after the #1.19 release!

As a workaround till then, you can use Google&039;s #site: parameter in a search query. E.g.: https://www.google.com/search?q=context+site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fimpactjs.com%2Fdocumentation

Regarding Plugins: There's not much in documentation at the moment. Maybe these two posts help a bit (but you know those already...):
http://impactjs.com/forums/help/spot-the-mistake-diff-plugin-subclass#post4352
http://impactjs.com/forums/help/how-to-find-map-size-in-pixels#post4176

Any specific questions? :)

No that was just it. Was looking for anything in the docs about plugins and thought I'd seen something, so started following links left and right 'til this genius of an idea came up. :p

A lot of questions come up but that's expected; there is a learning curve to Impact, (and Javascript in my case). So I RTFM and throw sticks at things as mush as possible, turning to the forums as a last resort.

I think that if once I've wrapped my head around impact+JS (box2d i am very comfortable with), I think I'll have found the perfect exploratory game dev and prototyping solution for my needs (+ could actually hope to use for commercial work as well once I've played w. iosimpact and others)

Although it's a bit out of date (it's a public wiki if someone wants to help update it) the documentation over at http://www.pointofimpactjs.com is fully searchable from any page of the site.

Hi Graphikos

Good idea. I'll do that in the meantime.

BTW, your site is really nice & useful, and I visit it from time to time. But the habit hasn't sunk in yet because of that annoying tabs problem, which takes a bit away from the browsing experience and makes me hesitate to dig further in. I rarely stay there long whereas the Impact forums are open full-time, occupying 20 of my tabs right now.

@alexandre

I took some time tonight to try and address your issues. See here for more info.
