Open Ended Question...

Do you have a "creative process?" How do you come up with ideas for games or the code to make them happen?

Do you like being alone, in the dark, drunk? Do you think best in the shower, while driving, on drugs? Do you listen to music, watch tv, watch a movie?

How, when, or where do you do your best work???

Watching other peoples games. I create a list of things I would like to add/change and there I have a starting point.

I use Evernote a lot. Anytime (anytime!) I think of an idea for a game, no matter how big, weird, small, undoable, unplayable, fun/not fun, I write it down in an Ideas notebook I have.

I don't generate tons of ideas this way but I find that going back and re-reading those ideas inspires me to generate more. I can slowly develop those ideas as well. If they started out in an unfun place then, maybe, after some work, they'll end up fun?

I have many different ways..sometimes I drive to "clear my head" other times, something just hits me in the shower. You know?

Though, I usually prefer working late in the evenings / at night... with my new job, I have to be there too early to really get in to it too late during the week :(

Usually my ideas come from something random that I've seen, read, or thought about. I try to narrow them down to the simplest possible functionality and brainstorm through notes that are usually illegible even to myself, and then start coding.
