Hello everyone.
I just wanted to know if there are going to be more minor updates before the next major update, and if it is known when the next update is going to come out
Thanks in advance

Yep. 1.20 will be released next week. I'm just writing the documentation for all the changes etc.

After that, I'll concentrate my efforts on 2.0, which I hope to have ready around August/September.

What's going to be different in 2.0? I've read through the blog and this topic is the only reference to it I can find anywhere. =|

Semi-related question... will 2.0 have a different structure so it will minify better? I've looked at http://playbiolab.com/biolab.js and I could probably steal the source code if I re-indented it all, it just looks like the white space has been removed and nothing else.

It's Javascript. No matter what you do to it someone can get the source if they are determined enough. You best just come to terms with that unfortunate reality.

TBH I'm personally more interested in the file size being smaller actually, if anything - although, granted, it will probably gzip quite nicely.

I mainly mentioned it because the license has a provision whereby you have to minify it because it's commercial software.

Ok dominic, thanks for the info!

2.0 will not be directly compatible with 1.x. It will have a similar structure and you'll probably will feel at home very fast, but I want to clean up and correct some stuff that will break compatibility. The biggest new feature in 2.0 will be real time multiplayer.

The license doesn't state anything about minifying - you can release your game un-minified on the web if you want to. Minifying it is just doing me a favor :)

The things I don't like to see are github repos with all the sources in them, or a ZIP download. I.e. anything that makes downloading the whole source trivial.

Many thanks for keeping us informed Dominic. Good to hear you're not worried about compatibility as I imagine it would hold the engine back.

I have another question about impact 2.x. You've said that It will have multiplayer support, but will that multiplayer also be supported in IOSImpact?
