Hey,
A lot of people answered on the topic: "where are you based" and I thought it was interesting to see the diversity.
What would also be interesting is what age groups are generally attracted to making games as a hobby? I would guess people in their twenties but I might be wrong.
Everyone can add his (or her, though I doubt we have a lot of women here) age here.
I'll start :) :
age: 26
male
34, male. This isn't my first game development, but this is my first experience with front end game development (I'm usually the database, server tuning guy). Based in NYC, and just building games for fun in my spare time.
oldest on list so far + 9, male.
My wife tells me I'm 5. I'm inclined to agree.
25, male - been an employed web designer for 8 years, and a game programming hobbiest for 13 years, which all started with learning basic, fluently, when i was 12, and moving onto C#/C++, Python and Javascript a few years later.
(Each language was not USED together, I just moved onto learning a new language after finishing a few books on the previous ones, lol)
